With spring around the corner, wedding season is about to be in full swing. Why is spring the most popular wedding season? Well, for starters there are limited restrictions when it comes to choosing a dress whether you’re the bride herself, part of the bridal party, or attending as a guest. Do you prefer sleeves? Would you rather go sleeveless? Did you find a dress with a fuller skirt that you absolutely love? Or did you have your heart set on wearing a form fitted gown? The benefit of a spring wedding is that all of these options are appropriate. Not to mention the elegant and desirable color palette that is associated with spring. Soft pastels and neutral colors make finding the perfect dress easy. And lastly, the outdoors! The options for wedding venues just became endless!

These are all factors Mother of The Bride Melissa took into consideration, when choosing a dress for her daughter Madison's wedding. From how she decided on the color, style, and fit, we included all of the details on how she chose her Teri Jon dress.

Jacquard Off the Shoulder Gown, Ice Blue

“I ordered and tried on at least 50 dresses…all different designers, all prices, online and in person. After trying on so many designers’ gowns, I just loved Teri Jon and felt that your designs consistently hit the sweet spot every time.”

How She Chose Her Color:

Melissa says Madison wanted her entire bridal party in pastels and was drawn to the idea of a ‘spring bouquet’. She loved the ice blue color right away, because it fit into her daughter's color palette and also complimented her other daughter’s dress, who was the Maid of Honor.

The Venue’s Influence:

The wedding took place at The Grand Lady, a venue just outside of Austin, Texas. Offering both historic touches and modern design, this was the perfect venue choice to hold a spring wedding and Melissa’s dress tied in perfectly.

Finding Her Fit:

As for the fit, she says the lines of the dress were elegant, and the form fitted silhouette was flattering. The off the shoulder neckline was also the perfect touch, adding elegance and simplicity. A timeless gown that will never go out of style. “I felt so glamorous and classy. Exactly what I wanted”, she says.
